I made it for Harper's 3 month photos by the hair of my chinny chin chin. When we got there she was just about falling asleep, so I knew it would be iffy how the session would go. We ended up getting some good pictures, but no big grins like she's capable of - oh well. I was going to name this post "Replace after one baby" as apparently most baby things only last through one child - either that or I am extremely hard on them. So far, I've had to pitch one bottle warmer (luckily I had 2 so we now use the one that was our upstairs warmer) and replace the baby monitor (one receiver just quit working) and the worst of it all....Harper is ruining my furniture. Or should I say Harper's spit up is ruining our furniture? She is a silent spitter upper and its not even projectile. She just sits on your shoulder and suddenly unleashes so it drips down your back and onto the unsuspecting furniture. You know how you see some people's homes and they have kids and you think "How can they let their children just destroy their ____"....I am now one of those people. We have one chair left in our living room that doesn't look like it belongs on a curb and the carpet looks like it belongs in a frat house! (Actually this makes me laugh because I had a group of friends that lived in a rented house at Michigan State with 14 guys and their carpet was CONSTANTLY damp! It was gross but we still continued to go there from time to time.) The worst part is I know we have to wait to buy new furniture or new carpet because it's just going to get worse as she gets older (not to mention Riley getting older), so I figure in about 10 years I'll be able to let people in my house again without having to apologize for the frat house like interior. Sigh.
My friend Kim came in this past weekend to meet Harper for the first time - we had a good time. It was nice to have her here and we spent a lot of quality girl time eating, shopping and going to the movies. I miss doing these types of things and wish she lived closer, but I don't think we ever will live close by each other. I guess that means we'll always have someplace to visit, though.
Gavin seems to like school but it's still hard to get him to tell me things about his day, so I read the daily update and ask questions based on that to see how much more he'll tell me. I think he just makes up stuff to get me to quit asking questions.
Here are the pictures - lots of Harper this time!
Harper at 3 months...
Gavin loves powdered donuts
Harper looking all fancy!
Trying to get Gavin to take a decent picture we agreed to make silly faces so he could see it on the camera! So here we all are with silly faces...
And the nice picture - well, sort of!

Harper is adorable and Gavin is quite the little man for sure. I love her headbands!
ReplyDeleteBaron was the same as Harper. We knew it was coming just didn't know when. He finally stopped around 6 mo's thankfully but not after many stains. Good luck!
