Thank you Bunny, just leave the basket and go!

What a great Easter weekend we had this year! The weather was in the mid to high 70's all weekend and it was sunny and just plain pretty! I can't remember another Easter that has been this nice and we took full advantage of the nice days. We went to church on Easter Sunday and Jon had to usher, so it was just Gavin and I sitting in the pew. I had to keep reminding him to whisper, but overall he was a good boy during the service (of course snacks of goldfish and sippy cups of milk are always good distractions!). One time the congregation was singing and it was quite an uptempo song and I looked down at Gavin and could see he was singing as well, so I leaned in to hear what he was singing and heard "baa baa black sheep, have you any wool". It was pretty cute that he wanted to sing....except when the congregations song ended, Gavin kept singing his for all to hear!

After church, we dyed our Easter eggs and looked through our Easter basket again. Gavin wasn't so sure of Easter this year as he cried when he saw his Easter basket. Jon thinks that he was worried that the Easter bunny was actually still in his house and was going to jump out at any moment. The Easter bunny brought Gavin sized golf clubs, a chocolate bunny, bubbles and 2 cars from the movie Cars. The cars were the big hit of course. After nap time, Nana, Papa and Aunt Kristin came for dinner and an egg hunt - we all had a good time hiding and finding eggs. Gavin had a bit of an issue distinguishing between the real eggs and the plastic eggs full of coins, so a few of the real eggs got mangled in the process. Our deviled eggs did not look too pretty as a result.
