I've been having issues with my blog lately where I can't get the pictures to load or when I do, then I can't add any text. Technology - a blessing and a curse. Anywho, we went to Disney World for the first week of October and met my sister, nephew, Mom and Dad down there for a week of fun. Fun, fun, fun, fun, fun. Overall it was a good trip and we had a great time but traveling with kids, even to the happiest place on earth, is a lot of work. Gavin and Garrett were on each other's nerves constantly - with fault and blame on both of them. I think I have a small idea of what life was like for my parents growing up with Jennifer and me…but at least we get to go our separate ways at the end of the week! Harper was good and really stayed out of the squabbling for the most part, but she did end up with the stomach flu one night, so THAT was fun. We stayed in a new place, Bonnet Creek condos, on property but not Disney owned that was a VERY good deal with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I was never so happy we had decided to stay there as I was the night that Harper was puking - at least I had a couch to lay her on so she didn't wake everyone up and I had a pot to make things more convenient when her stomach emptied (like how delicately I described that?). Luckily we only had one night of it while at Disney (Jon got it the night we came home and Gavin 2 days later), so we were still able to do many of the things we wanted to do. Harper was really into the characters (except the Beast - he was too big) and Gavin was really into the rides so it was fun to see them both enjoy Disney for different reasons. I think we will take a year off before we try again and see if we are able to see more of the parks without worrying about naps, strollers, diapers, etc. I was hoping for one good family picture too, but the best one isn't the best, but I guess it will have to do. You may see it again come Christmas time as I really don't have a good picture for cards this year.
Have a really nice Thanksgiving and hopefully, I'll post again before this year is over!
Still love the sight of the castle though and Harper now points out the castle whenever she sees it on TV or books. For her Christmas ornament this year she chose the castle that has fireworks and plays music.
