Harper is 18 months...in age at least

I had a groupon for Picture People and decided to take both kids to get pictures - Harper alone for her 18 month portraits and Harper and Gavin to hopefully get a decent shot to put in the Christmas card this year.  I hate Picture People and really should have thought about that before buying the Groupon, but I got sucked in and it was a disaster, per my expectations.  Actually, no, I really thought it would be fine and it was just that one time that I didn't like them, so why not try again?  Now I know.  You will have to wait for your Christmas card to see how well the session went, but I will post the ones of Harper and you will know why we picked a head shot - an 18 month old is hard to get a still picture of.  I was sweating by the end of the session and we were all crabby by the time we left.  Should have stuck with my tried and true Portrait Innovations and my low key Michael photographer.  Oh well. 
I need to send more updates on what's been happening since Halloween, but I will save that for another time.  Right now I am the only healthy person in the family - took Gavin and Harper to the doctor yesterday - Harper for her "well child" visit (which she wasn't) and Gavin on a whim because he said his ear hurt.  Bad mom that I am, I asked him if his ear really hurt or if he was just trying to get the grape flavored medicine which he loves.  He maintained that his ear really did hurt and the doctor confirmed the second he looked in this ear.  Poor kid.  Harper has a raspy cough and we get the pleasure (heavy sarcasm here) of giving her breathing treatments to help clear up her lungs.  Yes, it IS as fun as you are picturing right now!  But on the fun side, she is well on track with her development and is really doing what an average 24 month old is doing.  She is also still off the charts in height and weight - she's as tall as the average 2 1/2 year old!!  I guess I am destined to be the only shorty in this family.   I'll give an update on our comings and goings before Christmas, but in the meantime, Heeeereeee's Harper....
