Jon's parents have a camper and they decided to take it out for one last hurrah before the weather turns cold and they invited us along! Gavin actually went Friday night while Jon and I watched the Cardinals lose for the last time before the World Series, and we met them and Jon's sister Kristin out on Saturday. It was a chilly weekend but sunny, so we had fun playing outdoors and cooking S'mores! The campsite was directly across from the playground so we spent a good amount of time there watching Gavin climb, run and slide. So here are a few pictures from the weekend - keep your fingers crossed as this will be my first multi-picture post!
Do you think it says anything about my parenting abilities when I think it's cute to take a picture of my child frolicking in a graveyard?
Or playing with skulls and bones?

The happy campers - Larry, Gavin, Brenda, Jon & Kristin

Teaching Gavin how to play trackball - believe it or not, I'm actually good at trackball. One of the many talents of my youth, I guess!

Nothing beats the smell of a campfire...
Or the taste of S'mores!
I love your blog background! I was going to suggest you grab one -- see, you are such an expert blogger. :)
ReplyDeleteCamping looks like so much fun. I'm not one for roughing it in a tent, but I think I could do a camper!
I'm so excited for the blog! I really couldn't wait a month at a time to see pictures of Gavin :)
